In total I have done 3 pet shoots here at Fiona Asbury photography and I am pleased to say that I am very happy with the work. To begin with I wasn't 100% sure and confident on how to talk to the clients on direction them and their pets, I am still not as confident as I would like to be in that aspect but I am confident with the scale of my work. What fills me with so much joy is the positive comments I get from clients and seeing how happy they are with their images. I enjoy working with the pets although it was challenging at times I still overcame in and I was able to produce images that I am very pleased with. I am thankful that Fiona was there alongside me to help me when I needed and I am thankful for Fiona for letting me work alongside her here at the studio.
We had a fantastic time at our work experience with Fiona Asbury photography. Whilst here we took part in a variety of shoots which were fun and shows you how different people work. It was fun to meet new people and to experience photography in a workplace. It was also good to see how you can run your own business as a photographer and being able to learn new skills that isn't just about photography. It is an experience we will never forget. Thank you for taking us on and teaching us new skills.

work experience at Fiona Asbury Photography Studio is very educational in photo editing software teaching new skills on how to edit and you are able to learn skills on how to take the best photographs you are able to and how to set up lighting
Work experience here has been very educational and an inspirational experience, this was a week I will never forget, thanks to Fiona and Scott; I have learnt how to set up a photo shoot and was allowed to experience a cake smash.

This week at the studio is going to be a busy one, as we have 4 students in all week doing their work experience in order to gain the knowledge that they will need if they chose to continue their journey into the photography industry.
Hopefully by the end of the week the studio will be looking cleaner! The 4 students that are here, they are already settling into the studio and they are taking everything that we say about the different job roles and the different tasks that we have for them to do during the week. There is already a good atmosphere in the studio radiating from the 4 students and we are looking forward to see how they will all individually respond to this week and the different photo shoots that we have lined up. We can also see how they are willing to help and get involved.
Here at the studio we are hopeful that they will enjoy themselves and feel relaxed as well as gaining the skills throughout the week.

I have chosen to do my Year 10 work experience here. All I can say is that it's been amazing. I've been able to observe photo shoots, take photos of Connor's dog and learn skills on Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
I've had lots of support and help with all sorts of things as well. Connor and I have had lots of fun and had lots of laughs whilst working and learning.
Overall, I would definitely recommend here to anyone who needs work experience and is interested in the world of photography. #workexperience #student #fionaasburyphotography
My name is Connor and this week (July 2nd - July 6th) I have being taking part in the annual year 10 work experience. This is a great opportunity for students to learn and develop in real working environments to better prepare them for work. I have chosen to do my work experience at Fiona Asbury photography because I have a great interest in the world of photography and aspire to be a freelance photographer like Fiona. This week really has been one of the best weeks of my life Fiona has made me feel welcome and introduced me to how she runs her business. In short I have really enjoyed my experience here at Fiona Asbury Photography and would like to thank Fiona and her partner Scott for a great week that I will never forget. #workexperience #student #fionaasburyphotography
I love having little ones in the studio for a cake smash. They do not eat as much cake as what you think, they usually just end up playing with it and making a good old mess! Most children finish off with a little splash bath, this helps get them lovely and clean. The session takes no longer than an hour which is enough time for them, we always start with a few clean portraits first.
Today I want to show you Maisie as she is my Queen of cake smash this month, just check out the hand print. Thank you for having so much fun Maisie.

So I thought I would try working with UV light. I didn't use anything fancy just a plug in light from Amazon and some body paint. I invited 4 friends to the studio to help test this, for me, they had a few pics taken of them clean, they painted their hands then did a free for all and painted each other. To end I I painted one of the girls faces and took a close up. The end results were not bad it's something I will try again.

I am so pleased to say the bunnies were so well behaved and didn't drive me hoping mad! We had a great day in the studio yesterday lots of little ones excited for Easter, hope the Easter bunny is good to them all. I'm not getting a visit this year unless he wants to leave me carrot sticks to help with my healthy eating (OK it's a diet but sounds better when you say "I'm eating healthy")
I hope you all have a great Easter, I will be back in the studio Tuesday when I have a little dancer coming in, to show case all her outfits and dance moves.
